Course Snack

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp Butter
  • Cup Brown Sugar
  • Cup Honey
  • 3 Cups Oats
  • 1 ½ Cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 Cup Add ins of your choice
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • See notes about add-ins
  • Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper or heavily spray with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl add oats, cereal, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a sauce pan over medium heat add butter, brown sugar, and honey. Whisk together and heat until bubbly. Once bubbling, cook exactly 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. After 2 minutes, remove from heat and pour over cereal mixture. Mix well and let cool 20 minutes
  • Spread evenly in prepared pan and allow to cool completely in refrigerator before cutting into equal portions. Store in air tight container in the fridge.

Notes

If you add ins will melt (chocolates, yogurt bites, etc.) you will add them after the mixture has cooled, and before it is placed in baking dish.
If your add ins will not melt (nuts, pretzels, etc.) you will add them to the bowl with oats and cereal in step 2nd step.
