Farmhouse Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Warm Water
- 1 Tbsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Yeast
- 5 Cups Flour
Instructions
- Add warm water and yeast to a bowl or stand mixer and let sit until bubbly, about 5 minutes.
- Add half of the flour to the yeast mixture and mix with dough hook until well combined. Add remaining flour and salt then knead until smooth. Shape into a ball and cover bowl with a clean towel. Let dough rest for at least 10 minutes but up to 20.
- Preheat oven to 400 °F
- Coat baking sheet in oil or cornmeal. Cut dough ball in half and transfer dough one half at a time to a floured surface. Roll each half very thin and place on prepared baking sheet. Top with your favorite pizza toppings, leaving ½-¾ inch around the edge for the crust.
- Bake pizza one at a time at 400 °F for 18-20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
To make a frozen pizza follow the first 2 steps. Prepare baking pan with oil or cornmeal and pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Split dough in half and roll out according to instructions above. Par-bake each crust for 5 minutes, then top with sauce and your favorite pizza toppings. Place in freezer on baking sheet until frozen solid, then wrap in plastic wrap, then foil. This will keep your toppings from sticking to the plastic wrap.
To prepare frozen pizza, pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Unwrap pizza and bake from frozen for 15-20 minutes.
