Melt In Your Mouth Peanut Butter Cookies

This amazing peanut butter cookie recipe was given to me in a cook book at my bridal shower. My grandma passed out recipe cards to all of my aunties, cousins, and friends, and put them all together in one of the most special gifts I was given that day. These cookies just happen to be my Aunt Kathy’s specialty, and yes, I did flip the book open to make sure this recipe was in there!

Cuisine American

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • ¾ Cup Sugar Plus more for coating cookies
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ½ Cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 325 °F
  • Cream butter and sugar together in medium bowl. Add peanut butter and continue to cream together until well combined.
  • Add flour and baking soda and mix well.
  • Roll dough into small balls the size of a large walnut. Roll in extra sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Make a criss cross marking on top with a fork, slightly pressing the cookies down into a more flat shape.
Be sure to dip your fork in sugar before criss crossing cookies. Press gently and slowly- this is a sticky dough!
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool at least 5 minutes on cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack. These cookies are soft and need time to set up before moving.
