Farmhouse Pork Chops

These pork chops are packed full of flavor and come together quickly. They are one of my husbands favorite dinners, and using my cast iron skillet from start to finish makes them truly a one pot meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Pork Chops
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Topping

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • Cup Mayonnaise
  • 5 Slices Bacon Cooked and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Chives Diced
  • ¼ Cup Shredded Gruyere Cheese
  • ¾ Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 °F
  • In a medium bowl, mix topping ingredients together, reserving half of the cheese to be used later.
  • Heat oil over medium high heat in a cast iron or other oven safe skillet. Season pork chops on each side with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Once the oil in the skillet is shimmering and hot, cook the pork chops on each side for about a minute to sear.
  • Turn off the heat on the skillet and spread topping mixture over each pork chop. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 10-15 minutes or until pork chops reach 145 °F
