There really are few things that are as refreshing as homemade ice cream on a warm summer day. This recipe packs all the flavor without the unnecessary ingredients. It will be hard to go back to the ice cream aisle at the grocery store after trying this.
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Heavy Cream
- 1 Cup Milk
- ½ Cup Sugar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 ½ tsp Peppermint Extract
- ¾ Cup Mini Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Stir together all ingredients except chocolate chips until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's instructions
- During the last 3-5 minutes of processing time, add chocolate chips.
- For soft serve consistency, enjoy right away. For more traditional ice cream consistency, freeze for 2-3 hours before enjoying. Store in an air tight container in the freezer.
