These are the ultimate kid friendly burger! Everything is wrapped up in a tidy little bun package and easy to eat, plus they are loaded with flavor. I like to skip the frozen bread dough and use my Quick and Easy Hamburger Buns recipe. Just divide it into 8 equal pieces when you get to the shaping step and then continue to follow the burger bomb recipe.
This recipe was written using a Pampered Chef Deluxe Air Fryer. You may need to adjust according to your brand of air fryer.

Ingredients

  • Frozen Bread Rolls Thawed
  • 5 Slices Bacon
  • 2-4 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • ½ Yellow Onion Diced
  • 1 ½ Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside, reserving 2 Tbsp of bacon grease. Add diced onion to skillet and sauté in bacon grease until soft and translucent. Add ground beef and seasoned salt to skillet and brown. Turn off heat and drain grease. Dice bacon and add back to the skillet. Add BBQ sauce and cheese and mix thoroughly.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll each roll out to ¼ inch thick. Place 2 Tbsp of meat mixture to the center of the roll and fold sides into the middle, sealing the dough around the meat mixture.
  • Place filled rolls on air fryer trays and cook on Air Fry setting for 10 minutes, rotating trays halfway through. After 10 minutes, flip burger bombs over and cook an additional 5 minutes, or until both sides are browned.
