Simple, filling, and delicious! This casserole works wonderfully as a make and eat meal, but it is also a great freezer meal.
To use this casserole as a freezer meal, follow recipe but don’t bake. Cover casserole and freeze before baking. To use frozen casserole, remove from freezer and thaw completely. Follow baking instructions in recipe.
Chicken Parmesan Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb Chicken Fully cooked and shredded
- 1 Jar Marinara Sauce
- ½ Cup Shredded Parmesan
- 1 ½ Cup Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 Cup Panko
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F
- Spray an 8×8 baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
- Add shredded, cooked chicken on bottom of casserole dish. Pour marinara sauce in with chicken and mix to coat. Spread chicken mixture to cover bottom of baking dish. Top with parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.
- In a separate bowl, combine bread crumbs, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs over top of the cheese in the baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
