Meatballs is one of those things that everyone in my family eats without complaining, so I make them often. The best part is how easy they are to throw together, and all of the different flavors you can make up. These Firecracker Meatballs have a little heat to them, but just the right amount of heat… the kind I can enjoy and my husband can add extra to if he wants ha!
I like to cook my meatballs in the Deluxe Air Fryer, but the oven works perfectly fine as well.
Firecracker Meatballs
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- ¼ Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- Rice Optional, for serving
Sauce
- 2 tsp Ginger grated
- 4 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 4 Tbsp Sour Cream
- 4 tsp Honey
- 2 tsp Siracha
- 4 tsp Soy Sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, panko, ginger, chili flakes, and 1 Tbsp soy sauce. Form into 10-12 meatballs. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and roast on the top rack of oven until cooked through (about 15 minutes depending on size of meatballs)
- If serving over rice, cook rice per packaging instructions.
- While meatballs are baking, mix together in a small bowl- mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, 4 tsp of soy sauce, and siracha. Set aside.
- Remove meatballs from oven and check temperature with meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is 165 °F
- Serve meatballs over rice, topped liberally with sauce and enjoy!
