Swedish meatballs just feel like home to me. My favorite way to serve them is over rice, but there are so many options.
Swedish Meatballs
Ingredients
- 25-30 Meatballs, cooked frozen or homemade
- 6 Tbsp Butter
- ⅓ Cup Flour
- 3 ½ Cup Beef Broth
- ¾ Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tbsp Parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook until thickened and somewhat crumbly. Slowly pour in beef broth, whisking constantly. Cook over medium heat stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes, or until thickened.
- Add in sour cream and whisk to combine. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Add cooked meatballs to gravy, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles and garnish with extra parsley if desired.
