One of my newest obsessions is making my own seasoning mixes. This came about when I read the ingredient list on a popular taco seasoning packet I had purchased at the store… yuck! So many unnecessary things were added, so I set out on a mission to make my own.
This chili seasoning is simple, yet delicious, and will be a wonderful addition to your spice rack.
Chili Seasoning
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Oregano
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in bowl. This recipe makes enough for one batch of chili, but I like to make a large batch of seasoning and store it in an air tight glass jar and add 2-3 Tbsp of seasoning to each batch of chili I make.
