Easy Homemade Pasta

Is there anything more satisfying than sitting down to a comfort meal that you made from scratch? Not when it comes to homemade pasta! I love the recipe for using up eggs when I get overloaded with them too because the pasta freezes wonderfully.

Easy Homemade Pasta

A simple pasta recipe with just a few ingredients and amazing flavor.
Cuisine Italian

Ingredients
  

  • 3 C Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3-6 tbsp Water
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer with dough hook until smooth.
  • Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and shape into disk.
  • Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Remove one part and cover remaining 3 with plastic wrap or a tea towel to keep from drying out.
  • Working with 1 section at a time, roll with rolling pin or pasta maker into a sheet and shape as desired.
  • Use right away, freeze for later, or dry and store for later.

Notes

Fresh pasta cooks faster than your typical boxed pasta, so be sure to keep an eye on it! Cook time for fresh past can be as little as 3 minutes. From frozen as little as 5-8 minutes.
